Established in 2000 Flavorite Marketing is a family owned business that maintains its competitive edge through constant innovation. Our Wholesale Market is located at Epping and is seeking a suitably qualified Storeperson / Forklift Driver. The Wholesale Market is a modern, state of the art facility which supplies fruit and vegetables to independent retailers.
The Storeperson / Forklift Driver reports directly to the Wholesale Production Coordinator and is responsible for general warehouse forklift operations, picking, packing and delivery of customer orders on time and to quality specifications.
This is an integral role working within a fast-paced, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating gas and electric forklifts
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Handling fresh produce
- Picking, packing and delivering customer orders
- Completion of all warehouse paperwork
- General warehouse duties
Working Hours
The working hours for this positions vary depending on the season and supply of our produce. This is a full time position, working early morning shift with a guarantee of 38 hours per week.
Start times vary from day to day and also vary depending on the season. Generally, the hours are as follows:
Monday 12:00am
Tuesday 2:00am
Wednesday 2:00am
Thursday 1:00am
Friday 1:00am
There is a requirement to work some Sunday morning hours. These hours are allocated on a shared 6-week rotating roster.
The successful candidate will
- Hold a current and valid forklift license
- Hold a current and valid drivers license
- Carry out safe work practices
- Have strong communication skills
- Have good mathematical skills
- Previous experience in loading and unloading trucks
- Previous logistics experience
Previous Wholesale Market experience is preferable but is not essential for this position.
