With several Flavorite sites located across Victoria, this role is based at our Tatura location which currently employs over 350 employees.
We are currently looking for a Picking Leading Hand in a full-time capacity, to join our busy, growing, and collaborative team.

In this position you will work on and develop your skill among other trained professionals who want to see you succeed within the Horticulture industry.

The Picking Leading Hand is responsible for assisting the Picking Supervisor with the day-to-day running of the Glasshouse, as well as management and implementation of the picking strategies in order to achieve budgeted production levels. This is a hands-on role where the majority of your time will be spent in the Glasshouse.

Key accountabilities:

The Leading Hand position will be a mix of both working as a Leader to the Picking team but also performing the Picking duties, such as:   

• Working in the Glasshouse performing picking duties alongside the team to specific KPIs, such as:
  
  • Picking 
  • Packing and/or sorting
  • Trolley towing

• Ensure target times are achieved
• Train new staff at picking as instructed by the Picking Supervisor and apply coaching processes as required.
• Driving of the picking trolley
• Manage the training schedule of all new picking recruits
• Prepare daily work orders in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
• Prepare daily estimates in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
• Undertake stock control in the absence of the Picking Supervisor
• Assist with the development of Picking Standard Operating Procedures
