About The Role
Reporting to the Northern Region Operations Manager, The Site Manager plays a pivotal role in driving performance through strong leadership on site and is responsible for deliverables relating to Growing, IPM, Harvesting, Crop Care, Production and Maintenance through their Team, enabling the best possible operational outcomes aligned with business strategy.
We have two roles available at Mansfield or Katunga, Victoria.
As this is a business-critical leadership role, it is an expectation that the Site Manager is available on call 24/7 to manage site requirements as necessary.
What You Will Be Doing
Through active leadership, the Site Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the growing strategy that ensures both maximum production levels and high-quality crops. This position is responsible for all aspects of daily business operations on site including but not limited to Leadership, Safety, Budget Management, Growing Strategy, Crop Production & Quality, Maintaining Assets, Team Management (end-to-end employee life cycle) and site administration.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team, fostering collaboration and a high-performance environment.

Strategic Planning:
Collaborate and contribute to Northern Region's overall business goals and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Lead and manage all aspects of daily business operations on site.

People Operations:

In collaboration and partnership manage the People operations for the site.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing:
- Partner with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team and People Leaders to ensure workplace safety and employee wellbeing are prioritised across the relevant site.

Data & Reporting:
Lead all site related planning and budgeting processes to ensure alignment with business objectives.

What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant operational experience (industry related experience will be highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of Fair Work Legislation and experience in Employment Relations will be highly regarded.
- Ability to coach and guide stakeholders on Modern Awards and Australian legislation.
- Experience in fast-paced, similar business environment will be highly valued.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities (i.e Judgement, Drive and Influencing capabilities to engage stakeholders).
- Skilled in driving and managing change initiatives.
- Analytical, collaborative, and data-driven decision-making.
- Energetic and highly motivated.
