About the Role
As a Grower at Flavorite, you’ll play a crucial role in managing and optimising the growing environment of our crops. You’ll be hands-on in day-to-day operations, using data and advanced systems to ensure plant health and high yields. You’ll report into a Growing Technician and collaborate closely with our wider team to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
You’ll also be on-call once every four weeks (after completing training), and may occasionally be required to work weekends or public holidays. If so, a day in lieu will be provided.
- What does will you do?
Plan and manage crop production activities to meet yield and quality targets - Monitor crop health, climate conditions, and irrigation schedules
- Utilise systems for crop and climate control
- Adapt to changing environmental and production conditions quickly and effectively
- Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., crop care, maintenance, tech support)
- Assist with pest and disease management, including implementing IPM strategies
- Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with internal procedures and standards
- Support training and mentoring of junior team members as needed
What You’ll Bring
- Prior experience in a Grower role or similar production horticulture position
- Strong working knowledge of crop cycles and climate control systems
- Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work across multiple crop zones
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of record-keeping
- Flexible and adaptable mindset, able to manage pressure and tight timelines
- Confident using greenhouse software and technology (Priva experience highly regarded)
- A proactive, collaborative attitude with great communication skills
- Understanding of or experience with IPM (Integrated Pest Management)
- A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field is advantageous but not essential
